“Chasing the Light” – What’s it Mean?

People keep asking me what “Chasing the Light” actually means. Do I read too much Robert Jordan? Am I bonkers?

Our lives really boil down to a search for God’s presence, a daily struggle to bring our lives into alignment with His will. The good news is that we are not left to flounder through this search alone with no guide. God has given us the brilliant light of His Son Jesus to help guide us, and we see this light through the Bible and through other God-followers. The absolute best part, though, is that our chase is not one-sided; James 4:8 says, “Come near to God and He will come near to you” (NIV). As we chase the light at the end of the tunnel, we realize that the Light is, in fact, chasing us. The more we seek after the light leading us out of the darkness, the more God seeks us in return.

What are you chasing?
